Fmr. Presidential Spokesperson and Deputy National Security Advisor to DRC president Joseph Kabila
Z is a Congolese lawyer with extensive experience and education in diplomacy and conflict resolution. He served over 17 years as spokesperson and deputy national security advisor to Congolese president Joseph Kabila, where he was instrumental in crafting the peace treaty which ended the war in the DRC in 2003. Z holds Master of Arts degrees in International Studies and Diplomacy (University of London, School of Oriental and African Studies) and Conflict Transformation (Eastern Mennonite University, Center for Justice and Peacebuilding). Most recently, he earned a Master of Laws from the University of Maryland's Francis King Carey School of Law. Z is the founder of ZVM Conseils, a Kinshasa-based law firm which specializes in corporate and business law. ZVM Conseils partners with Ferrari Legal, a Washington, D.C. based law firm specializing in economic sanction resolution.
