PROTECTING BONOBOS — PRESERVING RAINFOREST — EMPOWERING PEOPLE

What’s love got to do with it?

What's love got to do with it? Everything!

It all starts with the bonobos, whose whole society runs on love and affection—there's a good reason that Valentine's Day is being recognized as World Bonobo Day! Then there are the amazing field teams, researchers, and local partners whose tireless efforts are driven by their love of bonobos and their rainforest home. And today, YOU can show your love for bonobos by supporting our World Bonobo Day fundraiser!

From now until February 21st, we are raising money to kickstart a livelihood pilot program in the Kokolopori Bonobo Reserve. This program will supply a local community with materials, tools, and education in sustainable agricultural practices. By providing people with much-needed sources of food and income, we can help protect the rainforest and its wildlife from devastating deforestation and hunting. To get this project off the ground, we need to raise $5000. It's a short time to reach our goal, but we can get there with your help! Please donate what you can and spread the word.

Thank you for showing your love for bonobos on their special day!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Love,

All of us at the Bonobo Conservation Initiative
