Bonobos face dire circumstances in the beleaguered Democratic Republic of Congo. Our sibling species is in danger of extinction. We humans have a responsibility to do everything we can to protect them, while there's still time to make a difference.

Congo Challenge Grant
Help us achieve our goal!

You can double the impact of your gift to BCI by participating in the Congo Challenge. A consortium of donors have pledged to match donations dollar-for-dollar up to $100,000. So now is the time to make your gift count twice as much. Every donation makes a difference!

It is more important now than ever to teach the world that amazing things can happen when forces join together for the common good. You can join us in our fight to bring bonobos back from the brink of extinction, protect the second largest rainforest in the world, and improve the quality of life for thousands of rainforest inhabitants.

Here are some ways you can help right now:

Make a contribution. You can make a tax-deductible donation on-line with a credit card through a secure server provided by helping.org. All donations are tax-deductible.

Or, send a check to;

Volunteer Your Time and Talents!

Without the help of a dedicated cadre of volunteers, BCI would not be able to achieve all that we do. In some cases, it is an individual’s inspiration that has resulted in special projects that really make a difference, such as the Kokolopori-Falls Church Sister City Partnership. We need reliable people to help with a variety of tasks, such as writing, editing, and design; mapping and GIS; helping with benefits and presentations, creating educational materials for kids, French-English translations, and much more! If you would like to volunteer, please sign up and indicate your interests and talents or send an e-mail to volunteer@bonobo.org
